There are about four weeks between the Upper Rhine and the Erzgebirge. Pick your federal state and the timings shift automatically.

Almost every state contains all three bands — uplands run later than the lowland next door. If you know your garden better than the map does, change it here.

Start indoorsSowing on a windowsill long before it is warm enough outdoors.
Sow outdoorsThe seed goes straight to its final position in the bed.
PlantingSomething ready goes into the bed: a young plant, clove, set or tuber.
